Evangelism Explosion International is pleased to introduce Seniors' EE – a ministry to those often forgotten.

Seniors' EE offers an advanced level of training for EE trainers, which includes on-the-job training for trainees. It reaches a group of people begging others to show them love and concern. Seniors' EE will help fill a void of care for the elderly in our society that the church needs to perform.

Seniors' EE will compliment any EE ministry enlisting those who have a special interest to go into the nursing home environment. Seniors' EE is taught during a regular 13-week semester. EE teams witness to the elderly in nursing homes, extended care facilities, and convalescent centers. They also visit shut-ins.

Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee, field-tested Seniors' EE with four teams. Warren Gillispie, a Seniors' EE trainer, enjoys this new advanced level. "It's wonderful to visit a group of people each week who long for our coming," he said. "I wish we could have had this opportunity years ago."

The Seniors' EE curriculum will help you see the elderly from a completely different perspective.

Topics covered during the semester include:

  • Understanding the Elderly
  • Understanding Care Facilities
  • Guidelines for Visitation
  • Guidelines for Communication
  • Presenting the Gospel
  • How to Implement Seniors’ EE

Seniors' EE meets three key objectives:

  1. To challenge Christians to evangelize and disciple the elderly

  2. To equip those trained in EE to implement this ministry among the elderly

  3. To encourage churches already involved in EE to expand their vision and discover a new and responsive field for on-the-job training and soul winning
